Lighting Design
Brian S. Allard is a lighting designer for theatre, dance, and opera. He is a native of the Washington DC area, and his work has been seen throughout DC, Virginia, and Maryland, off Broadway, regionally, and internationally. He is the winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lighting Design (Helen category) for his work on Synetic Theater’s Titus Andronicus. Additionally, he has received Helen Hayes nominations for his lighting designs for Synetic Theater’s The Trial, Adventure Theatre's The Jungle Book and 1st Stage's Never the Sinner, and he has twice been a finalist for the DC Metro Dance Awards. Brian’s architectural lighting design has been recognized with an IES DC Candela Illumination Award for Interior Lighting Design for his work on the Phoenician Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.
